Good to see this great drawing here in the gallery. It is so good it really deserves its place in both forums.

Big Frank - It would be great if here you'd also post your version with the lines and just a bit of colour. It proves the van really is a drawing!

    Thanx, Ross

Big Frank - I see on your website that your VW's are part of the family and that they have names. Since the virtual van above is so real it makes sense to me that you should name it too.

"Splittie" ain't good enough! He/she deserves a real name. (I suggest "Nadia" after the Romanian gymnastics star - she could do the "splits" on a balance beam!).

Thanks for posting the wireframe wagon. I'm inspired by your creation.

    Regards, Ross

Nadia is good. Shall I tell you why Nadia is good?

You won't believe it, but the actual van I used as a model for this drawing has a registration of 712 NC, which makes Nadia Comanesci a more than appropriate name for this drawing!

Man, you are some kind of psychic!!!!

Sorry Frank! In spite of the fact that I've seen your "wireframe" I don't believe it's a drawing Marvellous!!

    Hi Bal,

I've seen some of your posts in the Gallery too. inspiring stuff. You know, it makes me think that the people here and in the XaraX forum are a bunch of locusts - we turn up and devour everything that's here and as a result the pictures posted just get better and better. Let's hope some of these real artists (as opposed to the plethora of wannabe's all over the net) are making some real money - they deserve to!

When I had finished my Nadia picture I stood back and just couldn't believe I had just created this in a vector program! I'm so used to doing stuff like that in Photoshop. I hardly ever use Illustrator because it's so unwieldy (or maybe it's just me), and it can never compete with the speed, intuitivenes and pure simplicity of XaraX.

Kewl! (god, I hate that word!)

Big Frank - Given the success of your Nadia and your love of VW's, are we going to see more virtual VW's coming from you?

Martin has his collection of cool cars and F1's, you could have the world's best collection of VW's.

    Regards, Ross

PS - If you expanded your collection I can imagine a great book about painting vintage VW's - where you use the technique of named colours and multiple versions as you did with Nadia.
