    Default Outline or?

I need to cut out some fish for patterns for the kids to make pottery ones - is there a way to make an outline of the fish withont having to take the time to use the eraser tool or to make just the whole fish black without the whole picture being a black box?

    Tks all -jb

Not really a Xara Web Designer question

I assume you have a photo of a fish yes?
You could use Mehdi eraser to remove the background colour if it's one solid colour, otherwise there's no other option than to use the shape editor and create a line around the fish shape.
Fish shapes are quite simple aren't they?

Huh - don't know what happened to my reply so will try again -

Depends on the fish - a lion fish would take a very long time to cut out.

Tks for the reply - jb

True, but as I haven't seen a picture of your fish I can only guess that a fish shape for you children to create pottery fish would be quite a simple one.

Use Find "fish" in the Designs Gallery and then convert all fills to black.
You can also morph them to different shapes.

Sorry for the delay, the day job gets in the way.

Open your Xara product with a blank document.
Select and pin the Designs gallery.
    Click the More... button.
    Select the Find... button.
In the Find gallery item... popup, pick the Select all information option.
Type "fish" in the Find items box.
    Click the Find first button.
click the Find next button until you find a fish you want.
Click the preview and drag to your blank document.
    Click your fish.
    Click your Black colour.

    Job done.
