xdp6 Edit Imported Graphics Match Color

I am placing my customer's logo by importing their graphic file (they gave me jpeg, tiff, eps, bmp). I find the background color does not match and need to know how to change it.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

What is the background color and can you show us the logo?

And in what application are you "placing" (not a Xara term, by the way) the logo?

Help us out here and we'll return the favor.

I am importing the attached jpeg to the attached Xara file. I need to change the black of the jpeg to match the black of the Xara graphic. It seems there should be a technique that allows me to edit what is imported rather than redraw the image just to change the color; even make it transparent.

Hopefully, this clarifies if there are more non-Xara terms.

Select the imported jpg and then right click the Black diamond shape on the color line and select Contone Dark from the popup menu.

Soquili, this does not separate the portion of the jpg that is white; the entire jpg becomes black.

You must have left clicked on the black rather than right clicking and selecting Set Contone Dark Color from the popup menu.

Bill - there is a cast over the black on the logo - just right clicking black and selecting dark colour is not going to fix that...

You guessed it. Thanks. The black area of the jpg is still distinguishable from the surrounding rectangle. Is it possible to ask Xara to match the black of the jpg to that of the larger rectangle?

You notice it too. Is it possible to ask Xara to match the black of the jpg to that of the larger rectangle?

Try this. I did a vector trace so you don't have any background. You can make the logo any color and scale it up and down without distortion.

You can't say we don't go the extra 10 yards for you here.
