The XaraXone could use a few votes to get it back in the race at GraphicsNews.com

Click Here to vote the XaraXone in the GraphicsNews Top Ten Graphics Sites.

    Merci, Garcias, Danka, Thanks, etc.

On sites that list links and their rankings, they always show IN and OUT. What do these figures represent?

In - Number of visitors to GraphicsNews from that site.

Out - Number of visitors to that site from Graphics news.

    This is all IIRC, though.

Is there a prize or an award for being at the top of the list of referrers?

If it's just for Xara's pride, isn't it cheating if we try and bump up the numbers like this?

Artists 4 Hire have 4x the number of hits in than XX in 2nd place - wouldn't it be better to be proud that the XX site has more hits than any other graphics app than try to fiddle our way to 1st overall?

The only prize is the pride in keeping this product that many people have never heard of near the top of the list. The perenial #1 site belongs to none other than Bruce Stawicki who has as many clicks as everyone put together.

And of course by going to the XaraXone and clicking the link on the home page frequently, you are making the site look viable to Xara Ltd. who so generously support the site and all the free content.

Chris just reset the counter and everyone is back to 0.

When you get there, check out the new slide show function in the Galleries. It's cool.

Sorry Gary, I don't mean to be a party-pooper, but I don't think I explained my previous post very well.

You said by clicking the link on the home page frequently, you are making the site look viable to Xara Ltd - that was kid of the point I was trying to make - we make the site look viable.

I don't just want to poop without giving an alternative idea - how about rather than drive traffic to/from GraphicsNews, we all pull together to give XaraXone a huge boost in the search engines?

If you put some indexable text on the homepage, we can all each individually add a link to XaraXone.com on our own websites, and at the next spidering, the search engines will see that XX *is* an important website because lots of relevant (ie *really* relevant sites, all art/design/webdesign) link to it.

You'll then get better rankings in the search engines, in turn driving more traffic to the site. Once we get a critical mass of links established, Xara wouldn't even dream of cutting the funding because if they did, they'd look totally daft with a highranking site (potentially higher than Xara.com with a little effort) completely missing, and hundreds/thousands of links busted.
