Hi Stu,
Great work! I love the way you have some of the floor stones shifted. It shows the area has been unused for a long time. The distribution of sand? soil? dirt? also adds to the "aged" feeling.

One more version,a ruins one this time.

Excellent progress STu, real nice version this one.
One thing i notice myself doing, and i see you've done here too, is making the bump texture of the pillars too big. It diminishes the illusion of the pillar size.
See how it looks with the noise bump channel scaled down (increased texture tiling number) a lot more.
Ya spotted that today bud ...thanks...the bump is way off and spec makes them look like lumps of polystyrene ........have done some major overhauling today.
Stu.
Consider lowering the camera angle to make the scene appear larger (from a 6' tall human's perspective)?
Just asking. Wonderful concxept and image, again...

I'd tend to agree Gare... except that that will remove a lot of the detail and limit the viewer's view.
My suggestion would be to simply add a rail/fence (i.e. a patio) into the foreground, and blur it to create DOF. At least then, it would lend credit to why the viewer has such a high vantage point on the scene.
::: because they're looking across the courtyard from an opposing balcony.
WooHoo!
