    There's a knack to rolling the pen in your fingers slightly to catch the button with your thumb.

    I've had the 12000 for about 10 years now and I can say that while it does work it surely won't get the results I hear about with the Wacom. In using it with Flash I notice that I got smother line when I used my desktop mouse then with the pen. It apparently would jump. I also notice that you couldn't trace an image with the tablet because it wasn't absolute in its proportions. I am now assuming that the tablet area adjusts to the screen size. So when I am using my wide format screen and trying to trace an image it gets skewed proportionally. Then again it just could be the tablet itself...
