Whilst I wouldn't encourage copyright infringment in any form, considering what you want the the icons for ie. School education for Xara products, I'm sure Xara Ltd would be approachable in allowing the use of their icons.
Why not contact Xara Ltd and explain?
Meanwhile instead of inventing the wheel, you may find the attached .xar file of some use.
