Yeah, it's really a great experience teaching yourself the arts. I probably have holes in my training, but I am much more observant than if I had had formal training. (I think)

I still enjoy the old paints and canvas, too, though I haven't had the time to paint for a few years. (I just got a degree in computer programming, to I've been busy for the last 2 years.) I paint mostly landscapes, though I do some other subjects and abstracts now and then to keep things fresh and interesting. I am not geared towards photographic realism either. I can do that with my photography, and I prefer a looser style for my painting.

I am primarily focused on digital art for my web design business, so it might be awhile before I get back to the ol' easel.
