Hi Everyone,

I was looking through the directory where I store my drawings and found several that I've never posted. They are mostly just doodles, but I would appreciate any comments you may have, especially any improvements or ways to make them into full drawings.

This first one was started for the 2D challenge thread, but I didn't think it was artistic enough for that thread.

This is a piece I've been tinkering with for months now. There is a building in Nashville Tennesee that everyone refers to as the Batman building. I've incorported it into a drawing with a likeness of Batman.

This is an attempt to get a plastic look. It seems as thought almost everything is made of plastic these days.

This was made using the mini-tutorial that Derek posted a few months ago. You can find the mini-tutorial here.

This is a small animation a lady I work with asked me to make for her. She uses an email program call Incredimail, and wanted the animation to include with her signature. She eventually asked for several more with different coloured dresses and shoes

And last, a wooden bowl I've been working on. If anyone can tell me how to get the grooves around the bowl to look more realistic, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hope I haven't bored everyone.

Fun images all--what do you mean "bored" us??? That could never be! Your first design would have gone well with the 2D thread! I really like it a lot and am glad you chose to post it at last.
You really achieved a realistic plastic-look for your animated XaraX banner too--the other "flirty" animation is going to drive these boys here crazy ...I bet there will be plenty of downloads of that one! The "ghosty" scene could be animated, too, I think--great greeting design perhaps? And the "Batman Building" really has that mysterious Gotham City-look . I like your bowl, I think the edges look pretty good---maybe our bowl experts here have more info on what you're looking for. I enjoyed your collection--you've been holding out on us, Soquili!!!! Soquili,
Your doodles and exercises are fascinating. They reflect a number of threads visited lately. The balanced crest is well done; the batbuilding is different; the ghost is my favorite - great job; your plastic gizmo is most realistic; the tree picture - well done, I must check out that tut; the animated wiggle must have been fun to do; and the wooden bowl - looks like it came off the lathe. I think it needs to be sitting somewhere. What a variety of work. What an exhibition of talent. Thanks for sharing them with us. Neil

Hello Soquili
I think that the first doodle that you posted was the best. The one that you thought was not artistic enough. Does it have any meaning to it ? Many times such a peice of work will tell a story. The wooden bowl is very nice too. The grooves look good on the right side of the bowl but they seem off a little on the left side.
