    I need to have a kaleidescope effect, but for the life of me can't figure out if it is a filter or what?

    Please help

    Hello.
    Dont seem to have that as a filter with PS7. maybe be a plug in you can get some where else.

    If it's for a tutorial then it's probably a reference to the KPT plugin containing the filter "kaleidescope".

    KPT 5 i believe.

    The "Kaleidascape"(their spelling)effect is included in KPT3 filters as a subset of the 'Twirl' filter. Not included in KPT5 or KPT6.

    You find KPT3 on the KPT5 cd.

    But a good kaleidoscope filter is Xaos Tools' Terrazzo2 filter.

    there was one in a Filter Factory Gallery but I'm not sure. Anyway, you can find all those galleries at http://www.stevesdesktopphotography.com/plugins.htm. Alternatively, there is a freeware product called "Ultimate FX", which has "KaleidescopeII" built-in at http://www.ultimatepaint.com/ufx/
