Eric - Every Canadian knows who Oscar is. We have radio stations that play Oscar 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are grateful *you* know who he is.

Perhaps in your drunken state you could draw a really inspired pic of Oscar???

It never ceases to amaze me how alcohol can physically move the human voice box from its origins in the throat ... all the way to the rectum!

Grab a cup of coffee at head over to these spots to see how ungrateful we Canadians are of this National Treasure.

Order Of Canada
Here's a pile that will probably make it to his waist.
From his hometown of good 'ol Montreal

BTW, my pop grew up with him in MTL. He lived down the street from him... but, I'm only speaking as a "grateful" Canadian.

I'm not really a big Cohen fan but one of the best CD's I have is Famous Blue Raincoat which is the songs of Cohen arranged and performed by Jennifer Warnes. Read the reviews at the above link. It is an incredibly good cd. Everyone should have it in their collection. I'd give it my highest recommendation: Ten stars plus, plus, plus. If you haven't heard it, get it - you *will* thank me.

I love strumming that song on my battered yamaha guitar, and also chelsea hotel. i am usually loathe to listen to other peoples interpretations of these classics but i will have a listen via the napster clones ross. i'm sure somebody of j. warnes' stature will transcend commercialism though...
