Okay, so I seldom stumble across any real-life graphic artists...

    How does one pronounce "Xara"?

Is this a Classic/Next Generation type thing or is it set in stone?

By the way, I love that little dot dot dot thing. What do you call that? ...

    Zar-ah

    and

    Zair-ah

I prefer the first with Xar pronounced like car. But I know many folks who prefer Xar as in air.

    Your choice.

I always though Zahr-ah was the only way to say it?

Here we pronounce it [ksa-ra] [iks]

X is always pronounced [ks] in Slovakia.

I'm really missing phonetic alphabet here...

Similarly Princess XENA is pronounced [ksena] and not [zina] ;-) If you said Zina around here, nobody would know you are speaking about her

Is that possible that Belgian are all of slovak origin ? We have the same pronounciation here.

    Kindly,

I stayed in a supercool hotel on Malta in the Mediterranean some years ago, called the "Hotel Xara Palace". They pronounced the name sha-ra, as in Sha-Na-Na. It certainly impressed me, and I've always thought that was the inspiration for the name Xara -- being that Malta is positively crawling with the English, it's not beyond the imagination.

Actually there was such theory few years ago, that everyone in the world is Slovak, but some don't know that, yet .

It was probably invented by some pub philosopher .
