Cannot register purchase

Hello

I have been using the 2017 version of Xara to this day and have never looked back.

I just purchased v20 designer pro but when I try and get out of the free trial it doesn't let me. What do I have to do to activate my purchase?

What do I do now? I do not know how to activate my new purchase. I've waited all day so I don't think it's just a time thing.

I am logged in to the same account which I made the purchase with (I double checked the orders area and I can see my purchase)

How do I activate my purchase?

Ack. I have no idea but check back later or tomorrow. I'm sure someone will be able to set you in the right direction.

with the program open log into your xara.com account in your default broweser

that is what the second message you posted is asking you to do - if you log into your xara account at this stage you just need to click the activate button - if you log in at another stage you may need to resart your program

this is a different activation process to the old one

make sure it is your xara.com account you log into, not your old magix account

if it refuses to activate after retrying as above, contact xara on thier site via chat

Looks like your second screenshot is saying you have opened Xara Designer Pro+.

I don't know the install path to Designer Pro v20 Perpetual but I think you need to get there then follow https://helpandsupport.xara.com/xara...igner-pro.html.
The steps will be the same for your v20 Perpetual.

well spotted re designer pro+ that would mean the activation would fail of course, V20 and pro+ being different installers/programs

That was it Acorn thank you very much!

I had to reinstall Xara Designer Pro again in a new file path instead of over the top of designer pro + because it thought it was the same program as before.

Does that mean Pro+ is not the same as Pro?

I was under the impression that the Pro perpetual was the same as a specific version of Pro+ but just on a locked version number.

Is that correct?

Pro+ is the subscription version, it keeps up to date, and you keep paying

V20 is not subscription, you pay once, but you get no updates and, as far as we know, no bug fixes

V20 is therefore currently several months behind pro+ and will stay at that point; xara may issue another one off version in due course, but that is not confirmed and would have to be paid for
