Default A monogram and engraving project

I mentioned to Egg a few days ago in another thread that I'd been doing some interesting things recently, and managed to talk myself into writing a short article about it, though it's more like assembled a mixture of text and images.

For size and resolution reasons I've submitted it as a pdf file, I hope that's OK. It's been ages since I wrote anything with included graphics, and I consider that any graphics should be visible at a resolution that suits them, even if one might need to zoom in for the details. I spent most of today discovering that I couldn't acheive that without exceeding TG's limits, even if I split the article into two parts. But the PDF fits the bill.

Hi, Gary! Sorry I missed your 80th birthday, I just read about it today. I'm just remembering how many friends I made here, and most of them are still around.

Amazing! Now you've got to give us a photo of the seal and a resultant waxed seal.
By the way I remember the J R Tolkien seal very well

Actually I found it very hard to get decent photos of the stamps and the wax impressions. It was hard to get the lighting right, but here are my best efforts so far.
I should also mention that there is a skill to getting good wax impressions, and I haven't really learned it yet.
