    Getting back to the quickshape issue;

    Why not have a repository where people can place their quickshapes so you can just download them from the web?

    In the same way you can 'get fonts' or 'get clip art'.

    This would be an easy way to get/share brushes.

    The only caveat to uploading shapes is that users uploading them would have to agree that they own the license to the artwork/shape that they're uploading and that it's not a copyrighted logo or something.

    Also, Charles, I would like to have the controls for lines rounded join, miter join beveled join and round cap, end cap and butt cap, also placed somewhere in the infobar area. As this is often the only reason I need to open the line gallery.
    It would probably be best placed next to the line width drop down at the top.

    I am running my monitor at 1280 x 1024, So I have plenty of space for it. I never run Xara with large icons enabled.

    I would like to see more elements in the button palette. It would make it easier for users to customize their UI.

    Also, I would like to be able to save these customizations in a file that I could have multiple UI customizations for various tasks.

    Thanks.

    BTW, Happy B-Day Richard!

    Geeez, you guys are the best. Thanks so much for the BDay wishes Sheffield and the cute illustration Xander!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

    Sheffield, I think the downloadable shapes is a good idea but then there should be a "shapes" gallery added to XaraX with the same drag-n-drop ability as the other galleries! Of course, one that I have asked for many times was dockable galleries with tabs. After all this time I still access the galleries from the pull down menu, the icons are so small that I just forget they are there!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif That's the truth, and I'm sticking to it!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

    I'm not sure what rounded join, miter join or beveled join means but count me in. I do agree with you about additional icons being added to the tools properties bar. Click on the freehand tool and there SHOULD be icons present for the 'round cap', 'end cap' and 'butt cap' for sure!! Good suggestions, in my book!!

    I don't think XaraX has a 'large icons' option, YET!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif It was a suggestion I would like, as well as 'text below', 'text on side' or 'text only', no icons. It's helpful to users these days to give them UI options like that. We all have our personal prefs and needs. Large icons with no text or the current icons with text under would work really well for me. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
