Someone posted a link to a site with Greeked text (text one uses to represent text but is made up of non-words) and I cannot remember what the site was.

    Anyone remember?

    Thanks Mickie

That is exactly what I need, nolo cholo, ipsum facto. By the way, Greek or Greeked text is an old advertising term for this sort of text.

I'll find uses for that too.

(And kids please resist the temptation to use Mickie's text to pad your school papers. The teachers really do read them and you'll get busted).

For a readable account of the why and wherefore, try http://www.fun-with-words.com/pang_history.html (but prepare to be distracted by further fun with words). Alternatively, type "lorem ipsum" cicero into Google and take your pick!

    Ross, you are priceless.

Speaking of Google, I picked this up in Macworld. If you go to www.google.com/ie you can get right to the search engine and eliminate all the page clutter, not that Google is particularly guilty of that.

Has anybody read the Greeked copy file that Micky made available?

There are some funny additions that I suspect they did not think people would read, such as it is Greek to me, and more.

"makes one wonder who would ever read this stuff?" ... I quess we have an answer...Gary, the careful designer who wants to make sure he isn't using anything which might offend.

Of course, I'm a lousy proof reader, so there could have been something... or did the "readable" phrases just jump out at you?
