Hello all, I am doing a assignment for Visual Communication And Design. (Short for Graphics) at High school.

One of our most recent tasks was to re-design a famous logo. Mine was MasterCard.

If anyone has another idea for redesigning it, let me know... So i can get more marks! He He!

I like what you have done with the MC logo.

However, can you go farther with it and still have it recognizable as a the MasterCard logo?

What would happen, for example, if you used the rounded bevel effect, but instead of having the logo going off into space, ala 2001 A Space Oddessy, you applied the bevel to the head on version of the logo? Where the stipes intermesh could be very intriguing.

Great assignment, by the way. My compliments to your instructor.

You might suggest he look at Logos for the Design Challenged or Son of the Makeover Maven aticles.

    Very nice logo re-do

Little suggestion, but maybe you tried this already. How about taking the beveled part that is closest to the eye and make that MC Red with a highlight on it??? I don't know, that blue shade doesn't really "go" to me for some reason. Other than that, it's fubu!!!! Hi Dan,

    Nice redesign!

The only thing I noticed was that the front (gold) sphere seems to be facing more "head-on", whereas the red sphere seems to be facing more to the left. Not sure if its the shape of the gold sphere or how it is shaded (rendered).
