this person has posted long-winded spam [links to spam edited out by Ross]. It would be pleasing to the eye if you could remove his/her posts.
Thanks for your ever-vigilant service.

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who think there are two kinds of people in the world, and those who don’t.
Unfortunately the special secret powers that come with the "moderator" tag ain't so special. Moderator's rights relative to each forum had to be set up by the administrator seperately. The result is I have varying rights from forum to forum.
The spammer posted nine times. Between Mike Bailey and myself we were able to remove seven instances of the spam message. I will contact the administrator at Xara Ltd to see if the moderators can be given more magic powers.
In general I'd ask that we all make an effort from posting replies to spam. In due course it will get dealt with by either the moderators or the forum administrator.

Thanks, Ross. Maybe one of your new magic powers will be the ability fill offenders email with e-greeting cards that play horrible midi music!

The jerk's post still appears in the new gear forum. It does not contain his email address but it would appear he is the Ryan who lives on Beaver Street. He listed several full mailing addresses. Whilst I feel like sending him something really smelly I don't think I'll waste my effort.

I deleted one entire thread, but like Ross, I don't have the ability to nix this scum bag in the New Gear Conference.
And of course, do these jerks ever post a legitimate e-mail address so we can ask them for more details? :-)
I believe this is a Ponzi scheme and as such is against the Fedral laws in the USA.
