I have been working on a site and I have used a background image changer. Well, it takes so long to load the backgrounds I had to go into PSP and change the .jpg compression and that seemed to work but now my images are smaller than original. Is there any way to keep the images the same size and change compression at the same time or do I have to resize the pics again?

    Thanks,

    Terri

... I have never opened Paint Shop - but perhaps you changed something concerning DPI instead of pixels? Find out where you define the pixel size of your graphic - jpg compression only gets rid of colour information, it does not alter the "Display Size" of images.

If this does not help - just hold on in there, someone familiar with Paint Shop will come by soon enough.

Risto is correct...changing the compression should not change the overall size of the graphic. Perhaps you inadvertently resized them?

I did try to duplicate your problem...but am not seeing any difference. What compression did you use?
