The ship we sailed on was Royal Caribean's "Rhapsody of the Seas". It took its maiden voyage in May, 1997, and we sailed on it in April, 1998. This is a huge and modern cruiseship built to minimize the experience of motion at the passenger levels. If I hadn't been in the Viking Crown Lounge, and seen the moon swinging up and down, I wouldn't have known we were sailing on 8 - 20 foot waves at all. It wasn't like being on the BC ferries, when, if it's real bad, you can hardly keep your balance walking to the cafeteria...
This was a well engineered ship.
I'm going to follow Gary's instructions in the XaraX forum tomorrow, and should be able to produce the animation in a much smaller sized file.
