Is Xara Designer Pro X continues to evolve?

I wonder if Xara will introduce new features - for some time not much has changed except that bugs are fixed and others. Xara Designer Pro X is a great software but it can not keep up with other competing software. Has Xara Designer Pro X already reached its maximum potential? Xara is conflicted.

It has a great vector drawing tool but has hobbled itself to a very poor Desk Top Publishing (DTP) paradigm as a restrictive Web authoring approach.
