    I've lately been trying to come close to one of the easiest tricks in Photoshop, the gold type. It were hours of testing and then I've got it!!!. Here is the result.

    great work dmagician...looks like its been embossed and also has a slightly brushed look

    Thanx. It's pure Xara I just added a lot of layers of transparent bitmap copies with various transparencies. Only thing I adjusted was contrast after the export.

    (this one is using far less parts than the "perfect" but same principles of "improving the final quality"... this example uses the old technique = gradients)... I do it much easier now... check tutorial is in Xara forum.

    Great technique! I've been playing with it for hours, still can't get the look of your image. But that's part of the fun, play until I get it right [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif[/img]
