The eraser tool is really nice but I was wondering if there is a way to set the eraser tool smaller? As it is even the smallest is way big, sometimes too big to use without getting into areas I don't want to erase.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
Zoom in a bit. But it is adjustable as well, look on the context toolbar and look at the shortcuts.
Thanks Mike. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to figure this out, even when setting to the smallest size it was often way too big. So now I know and I find I can set the eraser to be more versatile and even smaller than I thought. That's what I get for trying to think, I try but nothing happens.

Is there any way to constrain the eraser to a certain size. Say 5 pixel ... without the zoom affecting it. I find it very awkward to zoom in to a detail and find the eraser a different size.

There is a toggle in Designer Pro to have the size stay the same/resize depending on the zoom
Doesn't seem to exist in P&GD10, so I guess I'm out of luck.

the toggle button is on the far left of the info bar and is marked 'size'
if it is not there you can look in the registry ....options/ShapePainterTool and see if there is a key AbsoluteNibSize
if there is you can change the behaviour by resetting this:
value 0 - the nib stays same size relative to screen [default]
value 1 - the nib stays the same size in absolute pixels regardless of zoom
this key controls nibs for both eraser and shape painter tools
[close xara before making changes]

Thank you for the information Steve. I was all set to say "What a fool, I never knew that was a button", however, the "Size:" on my toolbar is NOT a button, and doesn't press no matter how hard I try ... it's just plain text.
There is no AbsoluteNibSize entry in the Xara/Xtreme/10 ... options/ShapePainterTool ...section of the registry. So looks like that's not an option either.
