    Default Worm's Head Landscape

So, I started working on this one last week, but got waylaid doing the Carmarthen Fans piece. Coming back to it, I'm not so happy with it, but wanted to finish it anyway. I've promised myself not to ditch pieces if I'm not completley happy with them, but to see them through. If anything, it's been a good learning experience - and I'm learning a lot!

You are a master of the landscape - grass and rocks perfect.

I think you have yet to find your style for the sky in this one.

I'd be very pleased to get halfway close.

Thank you. You're right. I'm yet to find my style in general, but yes, I reckon the sky needs some attention. Perhaps some fluffy clouds.

I don't think it needs fluffy clouds, just a slight colour change to the sky to even it out, hope you don't mind! It's a great image as your first one is.

What I was referring to Rik was there is a distinct white and dark blue line in the sky, it makes it look uneven, not flowing from one colour to the next. That's how I see it but I have been known to be wrong

Oh! I wasn't criticising you, Stygg.
We all see different things, and giving/receiving advice is how we all learn.

The gradient is pretty smooth in Xara, but I gave it a bit of a tweak in Lightroom. Perhaps adding a subtle vignette in post 'munged' it up a bit when exporting. I need to keep a closer eye on colour spaces (and could do with calibrating my monitor). Thanks for the heads up.

You could also try making your own sky images to match your landscapes. I have a number of sky images to add to various landscape images and the like, they are not difficult to make and look better than a sky various blues linear fill. I've posted an example added to your original image. It could now be "Dawn Worm's Head Landscape"
