    Default New layout sucks?

One gets used to using something and we don't like when it is changed but the new way Xara has set up the design gallery is either very poorly done or I don't know how to use it.

The old way one could easily find what they wanted - like nav bars - but how does one do so in the new way?

Why do companies seem to think they need to change something when it is working just fine the way it is?

    It's called Progress.

The idea is you Import something from the Online Content Catalog and then whatever you download is available in the Local Designs Gallery. Except that a recent glitch wiped out anything that was already there. Oops.

If you import something from the Online Content Catalog, then you can locate that item in the Local Designs Gallery, right click and select Download All which then adds the contents to the Local Designs Gallery where one hopes these items will remain.

I believe the thinking is since most people are always connected to the Internet that it is easier to just import what you need form the Online Content Catalog. But if you are offline, then you can find downloaded objects in the Local Designs Gallery.

Gary, it isn't the on the web that I have a problem with - it is the layout. Used to be able to run right down the items to "nav bars" and pick what you want. Unless I am not using it correctly, that ability for everything is now gone. So, how do I find "nav bars"?

OK - used the "search" on the content catalog and found them. Duh.

I was going to suggest using Search.

Take away the Internet connection and then try and "Search",

I've tried the download all option, but the design gallery remains empty.
What happened to supply the designs on the disk?

Yes - where DID they go? Why have the disk if it doesn't contain everything?

And how about a way to "go back" to the old style.
