Default Can't get rid of Pantone Colour Line

I must have done something by accident and now I can't get rid of the enormous Pantone colour line at the bottom which makes colour picking insanely tedious. Looked in the help file, did a web search, out of ideas - please help x

    Hi starfields23,

If you go into Xara, on the right open the Colour Gallery, and go through and right click the folders that are showing on the colour line and click "Show in Colour Line" to remove the tick and stop showing them in the color line.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    you can try this:

in the colour gallery right click the pantone folders and make sure 'show in colour line' is unticked

colour gallery is at: utilities\galleries, or use shortcut f9

    BEN beat me to it

The problem is that when I load a fresh file or open the application, the pantone colour line is there always. As a default. I don't want it ever and have no idea how that happened in the first place! ????

what happens if you close all open documents, make sure all the folders in the colour gallery are unticked, close the program and then restart with a blank document

note: if you have the program set to reopen your last document and it contains pantones they will then show on the colourline of course

It could be that the default template also has them, as well as the Options preference to not remove unused colors (I suppose).
