Default How to locate font amongst layers

I have a graphic with nine layers. Xara reports that Segoe Semibold Italic is "used, but not available". With a single layer graphic, I can call up the Name Gallery and click on the font entry. Xara highlights the text assigned to that font, and I make a change.

With the nine-layer graphic, however, I just get the attached message. I haven't seen any indication of what layer it's used on ... and any "drill down" highlight goes away when I change layers. And trying to locate it, layer by layer, is very tedious.

Is there a more direct way?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Just click on the stacked eyes icon to reveal all the Layers and then work with the Names gallery.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

I followed your instructions and they worked ... sort of.

When I inspected the elements of the individual layers, the Segoe Semibold Itallic text line entries were highlighted. But I then had to hide all but one layer in order to get at the text to change. Plus, since only some individual words were italic, I had to inspect each text field, character by character, to be rid of all the violations.

My feeling is that there should be some macro method to make wholesale changes ... but, Xara would say that that's what Named Styles are for. The problem with them is that they require a degree of pre-planning. What I have at the moment are pages and pages that were developed "ad hoc", in a prototyping manner.

My advice to anyone: be mindful of this when you're doing any blanket change to assigned fonts. If your new font doesn't have all the used styles, you'll end up trapped.

    Thanks for the help.
