    Hi Egg

Thanks for that - now works!

Am now just bracing myself for the issues that you mentioned using this causes.

    Three issues I found:
The 'controls' are much bigger than in WOW as a standalone player.
The central dots & pause don't work
Because the height changes dependant on the width of the browser window there's either a large gap or the page content displays over the slider.

    Thanks Egg.

The controls issue does not bother me too much as I often prefer a very 'clean' slider with no controls.

The height change is a major issue, stupidly I did not consider that the 'stretch' command would maintain the aspect ratio and as the width increases so would the height. I would imagine that there will be a command to fix the height and stretch the width, but I guess that this would result in a 'letterbox' effect and only a bit of the image would be visible.

Mmm back to the drawing board I think! LOL

Yes, Xara's Sliders are designed to maintain the same height regardless of the stretch width, hence the top, centre, bottom options.

The problem with Xara slideshows are that they are too 'cluttered' with text boxes, controls etc etc. Plus they don't have enough options re timing, delay etc.

In retrospect the stretch slideshow is not the issue, it is more around having dynamic content that can move as the slideshow expands height - beyond the scope of Xara.
