Default How to directly edit linear fill end color?

99% of the gradients I apply end up with one end of the handles off of the page ... which makes adjusting the end color just plan awkward.

I've often thought there must be a direct way. But I don't know of it.

Is there a feature to call up the color value for the "end" of the graphic?

    Thanks for any help.

    Open the Colour editor.
Click on the end-point you can see.
Press the tab key to jump to the other end.
    Adjust the colours.

Selecting the Local start colour or the Local end colour in the Editor does the same job.

Tabbing the line is the only way when you have lots of Fill Handles along the line.

Just an observation, but there is no need to have such a long fill path arrow.

True, but I get those because of the simplistic way Xara handles linear fills (always assumes white as the start color). I drag to get the start color I want. It might not be the "best" way, but it is the quickest. If Xara prompted for Start Color and End Color, the long arrows would never have been in the picture. If I've missed some other method, I'd sure like to hear of it. But the suggested Tab Method is a great improvement over what I've been doing.

    Thanks for the responses.

One just drags the fill tool across the image from typically one edge to the other, then sets the start/stop color. And if desired to change the in between color points, adds stops by double clicking on the gradient fill line and changes the colors of the stops. It is quicker than your method.

Yep, click the Fill Tool to start the Linear fill and drag to the end point.

That's not the way to do it. Just select the start colour node & set it to any colour you desire, no dragging required

Yes, I can see that ... now. It only took me 8 years of using Xara to find this easier way. My only excuse is that dragging does work ... and that I had never seen any clear example of the alternative (and that a habit, once learned, is hard to break). However, the annoyance of the method I was using finally did get to me. So I certainly agree that dropping the endpoint on the end of the graphic makes great sense.

Maybe my "experience" will help others. Thanks for the responses.
