An Art Deco 1932 van Klee lead crystal glass design for a deadhead rose display.
Much sought after, not for its superb colouring and china applique glazing to match the Rosa Lilatica in full bloom, a motif cherished by van Klee, but for its absolute failure to support and nourish the rose head once the vase has been filled with water. Form over Function.
