Default Charts: changing text color and the amount of columns (XDP365)

    Hi,

    I would appreciate help:

In the snapshot there is a chart I am trying to edit, based in a Xara template: http://i.imgur.com/3v9lSqD.png

    a) The text color is white, but the template was black. I changed the color text by text. Is it possible to change text color in batch? I mean, e.g. change all text from black to white using a single command.

    b) The chart has 5 columns. How can I add more columns, as well as remove columns?

    Thanks for help!

You can use the Name Gallery to select the text, then click on the color desired in the color line. What will pop up is a box asking what objects to change the color of and Text will be listed in the current color.

Cadu, the chart text colour is the black square on the colour bar. If you hover over it, the has pop-up "Text".
You use the Colour Editor, pick the Text colour and adjust - all text will follow what you alter the colour to be.

You use the QuickShape Tool (Shift+F2) on the chart and you then have a number of controls.
The bottom right one adds/removes columns.
i got up to about 80 bars.

I believe if you select the text then open the Color Editor (Ctrl + e) you will see a listing for Text Color. You can edit the color in the Color Editor (I prefer the HVS model).

Thanks for the answers. Now I can handle the charts!

I would appreciate a further help:

    a) Regarding the chart data, is there any alternative way to handle that other than changing the values direct on the chart? E.g. through a XDP internal data sheet or interface...

    b) I am used to diagramming software (Edraw, Smartdraw), in which you can add data values from Excel, CSV or TXT files. Does XDP allow any external data input?

    Best,

    a) No

    b) No

However, some charts do allow CSV content. Try using the Column Chart Widget.
