    Question Highlighter Effect?

    Hello!

    I'd like to create a highlighter effect in XDPX11, but I'm not sure how. I have a picture where numbers need to show, but I want them to be highlighted like you would if you used a marker. How do I do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Are you meaning that your numbers are text objects? If so just highlight the text with the text tool and right click on any colour on the colour line and choose "set as text background"

    The text is part of a partial screenshot I took on my laptop.

    Ok then you could either place a coloured rectangle placed over the text and experiment with blending modes like multiply or soft light depending on the colour of the text and background. Or the other method would be to use the rectangle region tool and click and drag to make a rectangular selection around the text and use the photo tool to adjust brightness, contrast, hue,etc.

    In Designer Pro X11:

    Applying a Text background color

    To apply a text background color - in effect a highlighter-style background color...
    http://www.talkgraphics.com/@MSITSto...CHM::/8509.png

    • Highlight some text using the Text tool or select text object(s) using the Selector Tool
    • Right-click on a color in the Color line

    • Select Set Text Background

    To get rid of the background color...

    • Select your text
    • Right-click on the 'no color' swatch on the Color Line

    • Select the Clear Text Background option

    Yes that was my first suggestion but in his second post Raptor said he was working with a screenshot which would be a bitmap
