Question Shadow behind 3D effected image (screenshot) help

When I apply a 3D effect to an image, when you preview it, there is a shadowing behind it (not visible in the editor). This only seems to happen when the background/pastboard is an image rather than just a solid fill.

Is there any way to get rid of this? Why does it occur? A similar thing also happens when you apply a shadow effect or round the corners of an image when the background/pasteboard is an image/graphic, as well.

I took a screen shot to show what I mean by the shadowing. It is annoying, and like I said, you don't see it in the editor-- only after you preview the page in a browser (doesn't matter which one).

I'm using Web Designer 365 Premium. I'm also new to the forums; any help or advice on how to get rid of that shadowing would be super voonderbar.

    Thanks!

Hi and welcome to TG MandaBee.

I'm only following you part way here. Could you attach your xar/web file?

    Welcome to TalkGraphics

I missed what you are describing at first but now I see it.

Do you have a page color?

Can you attach your WD365 .web file so we can have a look? It is always easier to spot what is happening if we can look at the actual document.

The 3d object and the image it is sitting on are being merged upon export and there is a transparency flattening issue. I would make a copy of both objects, and with the copies selected make a bitmap copy and use it. Place the separated versions in another file or whatever to be able to make alterations later.

Btw, you might get with just making a bitmap copy of the 3d object itself.

I created a bitmap copy of the image I applied the 3D effect to, and it worked! Thanks, cookie!
