Sorry to take so long responding. I saw this post this morning but got distracted.

Have you looked in the Clipart section of the Xara X CD. Open the Clipart Gallery on the Infobar and press Disc Clipart, then add whatever folders look appropriate.

The Dover series of clip art books Dover Publications is always a great place to look. See if you can find a title, Symbols Signs & Signets by Ernest Lehner I think if you can't find what you need in the Xara clipart section, this book will definitely have what you need.

... for symbols and their meanings is "Dictionary of symbols" by Carl. G. Liungman. (ISBN 0-393-31236-4). I paid CAD $29.99 for it, which is about $2... US... (or something like that)...
