Installing Eye Candy 7 on Designer Pro X11

Hello!

I just upgraded to DPX11 and I'm trying to install Alien Skin's Eye Candy 7 Plugin. I also have a trial version of Photoshop 2015 CC installed and when I try to install the plugin, it'll only install to Photoshop. It doesn't even give me the option to install on Xara. How do I install to my Xara product? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Good morning Raptor, "unconditionally" guaranteed to work. LOL

Open Xara.

Go to "Utilities".

Go to "Options".

Choose "Effects & Plugins."

Click "Setup".

Select "Add folder".

Select each folder where you have "Eye Candy" installed. IE Impact, Nature, Textures.

Click "OK".

Click "OK".

Click "Apply".

Restart Xara.

This will work, I have "Eye Candy 5" installed on Xara Designer Pro 11.

I tried your suggestion and it didn't work. I also tried copying the Eye Candy 7 folder into the Alien Skin folder at: C:/Program Files/Alien Skin to C:/Program Files/Xara/Xara Designer Pro X11/Xara Picture Editor/PSPlug-ins/. I'm curious as to why X11 isn't seeing the plugin.

Okay, I got Eye Candy 7 to install to X11. Now the only issue I have is that it crashes when in use. No error code. Then X11 freezes until I right-click on the taskbar icon and click close this window. Shame I can't get my money back. I bought it forever ago.

thats exactly what happens for me - and it's not the only plugin no longer work with later versions of XDP
