Default edit source code due to web hack

I need to check the source code on a website to find malicious code that may be stored there. I killed the code through my files on godaddy, but want to make sure it isn't still in the files so that it doesn't happen again.

Is there a way for me to check the source code and edit it before it is published? This malicious code was especially offensive, taking my client's google links to porn sites. Don't want that to happen again.

Download and run Malwarebytes on your computer.

You can publish the site to your hard drive and then look through the files. I would use a decent text editor that can run the search on a folder of files. NotePad++ is one such text editor.

If you remove all the current files from your web host's server and republish your site the code should be clean again.

Be sure to change your password and make it as complex as you are allowed, for example, if you are allowed 16 characters and extended characters something like a09&SLxO$%08jK!s This is much harder for hacking software to guess.
