Nice, stygg!
Let's see a jigsaw version of this, eh?
My Best,
Gary
I was and am serious, stygg. online puzzle generator to get you the overall shapes you need and then use Gary P.'s steps to visualize the thing.

Or, with Illy, run a script on either vector or raster objects...
Which is why I would really like javascript support in XDP as in Illy. Well, I have only used the script for real once a few years back. Not something I need to do. However, it is the other scripting I do use more often why I would like that support in XDP.
mwenz, not to detract from the topic of this thread...
We got a slew of wish lists about and around.
I know, because I've been filling them up.

I think I have given up on the wish-lists for now. For any company. Well, that's not entirely true. There is one I still have hope for.
It's these types of repetitive tasks, drawing or overlaying already drawn vector puzzle pieces and clipping or cutting, that gave rise to places like the site you show. Heck, they use fairly rudimentary PHP to create the puzzle pieces. Adding in scripting support that can accomplish repetitive tasks, even creative tasks, cuts down on wish-lists.
Than maybe Xara could concentrate more on making the UI more cohesive, like move the stupid pre-press stuff from Print Setup into the export to PDF dialogs (like everyone else). Make a true registration named color and/or fix Print on All Plates to actually work in PDF output so my blasted reg targets end up on all plates in a PDF without work-arounds. Or, or, or...
Ok. I need to quit gripping and do something productive today. Maybe I'll go make some bread. (Real bread, I gave up on making money.)
Mike the javascript support you mentioned in #7 for such things as the jigsaw puzzle, I'm no comp. whizz kid but I watched a video for P.S. on using a jigsaw texture it as on laying it over a photograph. The whole process took about 6 mins. If only Xara had such a process it would have made it easy to put this on the mosaic tile but as it is, I'm still looking for a way to do this in Xara. So far I've come up with zilch
