Trouble upgrading to Designer 10

Web Designer Pro X

which doesn't exist There is a Designer Pro or a Web Designer Premium

Anyway, no matter, it sounds like it was a corrupt or incomplete download. Glad you got it sorted

I suspect Zaphodeist is right but first off lets figure out for sure what version you "upgraded" to. Open your new program and up in the top left corner it will give you the full name of your program tell us what is says there

Alice.....all this has been settled as posted by me to this form on Jan 24, 2016........as stated

"Zaphodeist....Sorry to take up time on the forum. I have removed the upgrade D 10 premium, reloaded it from the disc that arrived today, and things are up and running. Even the top portion of the program now shows the file menus that were not there from the original download. All this was caused by the server glitch they were having the night some of us were downloading files. If there is a way to post a picture on this forum let me know. I have a 478 page manual from XARA and the CD for that version you say does not exist. Written on the cover in large letters. XARA designer pro X. copyright 2012. No big troubles I will survive and keep on learning XARA software.

Zaphodeist is correct. Web Designer Pro X does not exist but designer pro X does. XDPX is full featured (except for the newest tools found in later versions) and with it you can create web sites.
