Hi people

We can just chat here yes?

Just for fun, have you ever typed your name into the search engine http://www.google.com/

I was reading a newsgroup thread about anonymity and stuff and someone mentioned how surprised they were when they showed up.

Well, on typing my name, I made it to number four, from a review I wrote for the Spider-Man home page, how emabarrasing , I couldn't face looking any further after that.

I've known for some time that a number of Peter Duggans (including several musicians) show up on Google, but also that two of my kids' songs have held the top two spots for several months!

    Got 5 hits

First two hits point to the homepage of my company.

#3 goes to the chamber of commerce, about an advertising-prize I won.

#4 is another kind of prize. a local radio station, where I won a mousepad in 1996. Big deal, huh ??

#5 (and last one) is about a cheat for a game that I sent somewhere. Must have been 1991 or so, anyway REALLY long ago ...

Not too much info 'bout me, but still ...

    Hi Peter,

I tried the search on my English and my Cherokee names. For the English name, there were 39 entries, none of which were me. For the Cherokee name, there were 71 entries. Two were me, and both were from Gary's mention about the "Corn Brush" on XaraXone.

    Thanx Peter!

My self searching turned up some interesting things. It showed me that the first website I ever developed circa 1996 is still online even though it was created for a 1996 event! You can find it here. Please don't be too critical. (In those days HTML didn't offer as much as today and everyone had 14.4 modems).

I also found a copyright violator here. Well at least the violator credited me.

    Regards, Ross

Google can bring up posts you have made on inquiry boards. Haven't seen anything from this board though....thank you.

The funniest thing I have found on me is years ago I replied to a personal url that had recipes and I gave them my peasant style beef stroganoff recipe and it is still there! Hey it is really good!

My real name shows up once on Goggle exactly where I would expect; smorg is a VERY popular name and/or acronym for any number of things (1,050 hits), and smorgasgeorge is off the radar entirely!
