Yes. You need to embed your text in an HTML a tag: <a href="page.htm">Words...</a>.

Sorry I should have been more specific I want the whole image to have a link, not the text.

Not really. The images are a background to the parent DIV. Further, each part of the image is sliced to allow for the Nivo effects.
You could use jQuery to find out the background url of the slider and add a link through code.

There's other widgets that you can put a link on the picture, such as cycle5 or cycle6.

Open widget, right click on each picture, web properties, Link to web or email address, Apply, OK

One drawback is that it does not "open" as a new page in the browser (unless someone knows how to add that little feature?)

Karen, yes it is another Xara feature (bug?) where the Open link box is disabled.

The only workaround I know would be to use something like:

Link to Web or Email address: javascript: window.open("sitepage.htm", "_blank");

Try this;

javascript:window.open('http://www.yourdomain.com', '_blank');



note the use of apostrophe rather than quotation marks
