Problem with Rectangle Tool

I am trying to create a sidebar/panel section on a page using the Rectangle Tool. Trying to place this panel down the side of a page, but I keep getting a square that turns sideways ... see the Screenprint in the attachment.

I must have clicked on something to create this problem but I don't know what I do so I can't undo it.

Could use the expertise of someone on-line.

If the problem is the rotation of the rectangle then go to the rectangle tool, select rotation from the drop down list and set the value to 0.
Sorry if that is not your problem. Surely some native speaker will come across later...

Siran, I believe you are correct, but when I arrow down towards 0, I get to 2.47 and if I go beyond it jumps to 300 plus.

And when I set it to ZERO, the problem persists. I have a support ticket into XARA Support. But maybe you have an additional suggestion after reading the above. Hope so, because the earliest I can get a reply out of Xara in England is 1 a.m. PST. Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

When you select the Rectangle Tool there are three options at the top of the page. I think Bounds Creation might be what you are looking for.
