default unit size question

I want my default unit size to be pixels, not anything else. Changing that under options only changes it for the current session. How can I permanently make pixels the default unit size? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Set a document how you want to and then save it as a template and check the box for being your default template. At least that's how to do it in XDP.

It is often quicker to make a quick post about stuff. Sometimes there is even a solution...

Edit to add. I mostly do things for print so don't use pixels as a unit too often. When I make web assets like say a banner for a Web site, I'll use the document type of Photo from the New document flyout. It's already in pixels by default and I don't have a page to distract me.
