Just oozes atmosphere---I like it, the colors and lighting, structures all look great and lends a mysterious feel to the place.

    Nice work!!!

Not only is it rendered well, it looks like a great design. Great drama! Makes my imagination think about the character who lives there. (I'd be happy living in a space like that).

I don't think so --- the face on the wall suggests to me it is not the chamber of a monster but rather a thinker. A Yoda-like fellow perhaps.

As an architect I know most architects and interior designers don't have the unencumbered creativity to design real-life spaces like you've shown. I think most however can appreciate them when we see them. Great design!

    Stu--

Regardless of the architect or the inhabitant, it feels like a place I'd like to at least visit.

Which strongly suggests that I've "bought into" the reality of the scene, and um...

...therefore reality has been acheived, in my mind's eye.

Good going, mate, and glad to see you back again after an absense.

    My Best,
    Gare

Nice job Stu! I like how the light at the end of the hall invites you in.

    Thanks

Ross thanks for giving me an alternative way of veiwing it,I never saw the space as the abode of a thinker, but now I can see what you mean.

Gary thanks, good to be back bud.Ya I find myself buying into the scene as well,I think I will have to re render this wihen I have a new puter so I can get deeper shadow and maybe volumetric light,I kept on running out of memory {512m} I might make a character as well and maybe extend to the left and make a chair or something,or build a chair into the wall maybe for the character.

What I would love to do is make a very wide render of a fully designed abode, but I have to use 800 x 600 because anything over that messes me up,but I am getting an LCD to cure that problem so I will do it then.

Randy - Its a clipped red omni for the warmth of a hidden fire is the effect I wanted.By using a 15 inch monitor and 800 x 600 I have to work out ways of making less look like more.

Oh ya the finished render has a soild fill layer of red set to softlight in Photoshop.

    Heres the full render.
