Is slow loading of Designer Pro 11 Normal

I had hoped that the recent bug fix update was going to cure the slow to open problem, but if anything it might now be taking a little longer, (or I might be imagining that) at about 12 seconds to splash screen. This is Win 10 64bit. Photoshop opens instantly and Lightroom in less than 2 sec. Its got to the point where I open Designer and leave it open in the background until I need it if I know I'm going to be using it.

Even pretending activity is happening (a.k.a. MS programs) would be an improvement.

Twelve seconds. Mildly irritating. You look and it's not ready. You think about it and look again it's ready.

It's not the biggest thing, is it?

Leaving the software open? Why not?

We have a fix in the pipeline for the delays that some people experience (but not all) when starting Designer.

Unfortunately it didn't make it into this last release.

I also find the start time far to long and use other SW to do text documents eg. Ovation Pro which opens instantly.
Perhaps the core program should start and items added after it is running.

Peter, is this Ovation Pro for Windows. How do you find it? I didn't realise there was such a beast.

Gare, thanks. I deduced that by googling Ovation Pro for Windows.

I still have Ovation Pro and use it on my RISC OS emulator.
I didn't know there was a Windows version.
