I like that.
The guy in the picture definitely isn't me with that caption.

they go well together don't they - as soon as I saw the picture that particular witticism came to mind
I think after 20 years plus of use I may know everything there is to know about a Derwent SKetching Pencil HB... a lot of the rest of the world however passes me by I am sure..

I really like the Derwent Drawing Ivory black, it's the only one that gets close to the black of ink.
I like them more than windows 10, which has been a frustrating experience and a loss of time for me.
Everybody seems to like it though...

This makes an interesting read, but 99% of those who are "happy with Windows 10" won't read it

If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
They're going to kill me anyway and I'd love to die the way I lived:
Avoiding Manual Labour.
I read it.
I am not happy with it.
It makes some valid points, but also containa a lot of BS
If you want to be secure on the web you use the latest versions of evrything as a general rule [there are exceptions of course, there are exceptions to everything]
if you are worried about privacy with windows 10 then you should buy the pro version and learn about group policy settings and how to disable windows services you do not want; you should install and run a third party firewall and run it in 'interactive' mode and learn what to allow and what not to - but before you do any of that head over to ZDNet and read Ed Botts analytical assessments of risk in windows 10
I started to have my doubts about your link when Microsoft Security Essentials was mentioned in the context of windows 10: no such beast exists; MSE finished with win 8.1, it is now all incorporated into Defender for win 10 - now you might call that a technicality, but the article is just a regurgitation of others views, 'bullet-pointed' - there is no actual analysis, it is just the 'usual' MS-bashing
But at least the guy had the decency to admit that linux has lots of problems
The only way to truly keep your privacy is not to connect to the web via an ISP, and even then probably not to connect at all
PS- onh and never ever use google services and the like, any social media... the list is long... and growing

The only way to ensure your privacy is to use hardware and software pre-dating 1984 and maybe earlier. In 1984 Ken Thompson published a paper entitled "Reflections on Trusting Trust" (https://www.win.tue.nl/~aeb/linux/hh...son/trust.html), in which he described a compiler which was capable of placing a backdoor into any program it compiled. The same became possible for hardware as CPUs started to be generated from 'source code' by a compiler.
nice one Luke
like I said 'probably not to connect at all'

I've got to say, as an individual who knows and understands little to nothing of all this concerning Windows 10, I don't know what to do.
I use McAfee and am going to install Viper but feel that there is really no way to be really safe. It seems that going back to the 1960s way of doing business is the only rea son ably safe option.
