Flashing menu in Xara Designer Pro X11

Hi,

In Xara Designer Pro X11 when selecting a tool on the left side so for example Text Tool, Shape Tool etc, on the top area the relevant menu is flashing or how to say, going from some lighter gray to the real menu color as an animation



Spending some hours on a drawing it became slightly disturbing that it s flashing all the time for selecting the tools, is there maybe method to switch it off?

The thinking is the Infobar flashing (pulsing is more accurate) users will be aware than there are more options. I know the pulsing is there but only in the back of my mind. I think it is a nice touch.

no problem - thread was for photo and graphic, but the registry keys are the same [in this case]

it is annoying - the only thing I think that could be said for it is that you are alerted if you have accidentally switched tools [eg by double click]

@ gary - this usefulness will only last for how long for newbies? after which they become aware of the options and it becomes a distraction - a settings option in the UI if you must

I purchased a ship's clock several years ago with the idea that every half hour when the bells chimed, I would take a break, get up and walk around.

It took me about a day to reach the point where I no longer heard the chimes.

I put it in the same category as default audio pings or what ever, and - [to use a local phrase in my part of the world] - a bleedin' nuisance - we are all different

It's funny how we adapt to things. I have an old fashioned style pendulum clock that chimes every 15 minutes. I don't even notice it unless a visitor comments on it.

And funny how sometimes we don't
