    Unfortunately that wouldn't fix the issue as how the menu button is created within xara. Since it's created the wrong size chopping elements out didn't make any difference either.
    Anyway going with a new template which is designed to be a responsive from the off rather than a conversion. Allows me to get rid of some of the crud. So far looks better bit is a slow process moving bits across. Xara ever so often takes a dump forcing me to restart it as well. This can be triggered by selecting text to copy.

    PIT,

    No need to do all that. Just select the menu in the mobile variant:

    Change your menu to Horizontal

    Change the pop-up menu style to down.

    This stops the page becoming wider than the 480px
