Default Miles Magister With Articulated Wing

In the early 40's an articulated wing was considered to add bombs and fuel to the limited loads the bombers of the time could carry. Miles Aircraft experimented with this wing design on a Magister. It was unstable and unsuitable.
There are no pics of this plane that can be found now even though it was tested for several months.
Thought I would do a drawing of it to see what it would have looked like. Plane 100% vector, background a mix.

Gray, I always look forward to seeing one of your post. I love your attention to detail. Very nice piece. Where did you get the reference for this design? Where would it be flying over?

The plane looks unstable. But the drawing looks great.

Nice work as usual Gray. Got to say that's a very bizarre design.

Paul, Thanks. I read an article in a magazine and I was interested in seeing what it would have looked like. I then create a 3D wireframe of what I thought it would look like and use that as a basis for the drawing. The background is no where in particular.

Gary, Thanks. For some reason I like the weird and ugly machines as no one else does them. I mean really, who would buy an illustration of this one.

    Paul, thank you sir.

LFRYARTGUY, Thanks for the kind words.

Gray, tha rendering looks great. I didn't realiize how wierd a design till I looked at the animated wire.one day I might get around to doing something along those lines but it would more than likely be a roclet.

Thanks, Larry. It's enjoyable seeing what these strange contraptions looked like. Hope you do get around to that drawing.
