    Hi help needed again please.

I want to change the background colour of this image to white and the lines and numbers to black? if I cant do that, is there a way to trace over the top and use that? have been stuck on this for two days, sorry if it seems easy but i can't figure it out? any help would be appreciated please.

Well the image doesn't look too hard to trace by hand and if you need a vector result that's what I would do. However if it doesn't have to be vector one easy way to do this is to double click the photo to bring up the photo tools and first completely desaturate the photo then use the brightness and contrast settings and the sharpness setting to darken the photo and bump up the contrast. this will give the opposite of what you want so now you need to click the live FX icon (it's on the flyout bar along with the other photo tools. click new and then under colour filters chose negative and your colours will be flipped.

its going to be difficult - that image is very low resolution and full of artifacts [imperfections/blemishes] - I think you may have to redraw it

I agree, the image is a lossy format (jpg) and is full of "mosquitoes".

Perhaps it would help if you could upload your original artwork. It appears to come from a pdf file but I'm only guesing

I was assuming that the low res image was for posting on the forum and that the OP had a proper hi res image to work with. And you don't want to bump the darkness and contast all the way.

Hi Teya, I like finding solutions so I played with your request, here's how I got there. By the way I am using Photo & Graphic design 9.

    Import image
Go to camera on left and click then click select erase color
Put the small cursor on the grey to remove
Go to the selector toll and click image
Double click image, 8 small squares will go around picture
Right click on image, click contone then click back and white
Click the convert box on tab that comes up
Put your cursor on the black color on the bottom and move over your lines on the image, then click on the white box color then click replace

Then export your image as a jpeg to get the white background and give your picture a name

Here's what you get, I agree not clear for the reasons mentioned by others

Hi Teya, forgot to mention you can use other colors not just black and if you export as PNG there will be no white background.

    Ciao
