It is blooming hot here. It was at least 35C here in the south of England.

35c wow, bloomin hot here in Ireland too but about 25c I think. In my shorts, no shirt and a fan on, not used to it lol

It's been very hot and dry here in BC temperatures have been between 27 and 30 Celsius on the coast. Lightning storms passed across BC the other day and that's resulted in forest fires. There have been hundreds already and summer has only just begun! Add to this record low snow levels in the mountains last winter and we are facing drought conditions! I've got fans going and to add to the joy there have been not one but two cougars in the area! So until we are sure that they have either been caught or have moved on we have to keep the doors and windows closed between dusk and dawn which doesn't help with the heat!

Garden thermometer here on Ilkley moor is showing 31c. For anyone who is not familiar with Ilkley, it's in Yorkshire and 20c is what we call hot around here, shirts come off and shorts go on when it hits 18c everyone is hogging the rooms with ac, wish I had ac in bedroom, the night's when these temperatures really hit you.

For Saturday it's likely to be 37° Celcius

Apparently, the temperature got as high as 36.7C.

Its been rain, rain, rain, rain, rain in Illinois where I live. We've suffered a drought for 20 years more or less not too long ago. I remember regular thunder-boomer rain storms about once a week as a kid, here. This year we've had more rain, and rain storms without lightening, then I've ever witnessed in my life. In fact, I have a problem juggling when to mow the lawn - its either raining, or the grass is too wet to mow.
